Ciracas SDA Constructs Water Channel on Jalan Busika

Eight personnel of Ciracas Sub-district's Water Resource (SDA) are constructing water channel along 80 meters on Jalan Busika RT 04/02, Ciracas Urban Village, East Jakarta.
The existing channel is too small
Yulia, agency's head, said the construction of water channel by using 40 cm U-ditch is aimed to anticipate inundation during rainy season. The existing water channel is no longer able to store the water.

According to her, the construction has been started since last December and is targeted to complete this month. Now the progress has reached 50 percent.
"It takes time since our personnel construct it manually," she added.
Suwarto, Ciracas' RW 02 LMK Member, appreciated the work which came from resident's request.
He stated that the existing channel which was constructed independently only has 15 cm of width. It means the channel is unable to load water too much.
"It is hoped the construction will be completed quickly to prevent inundation in our area," he stated.
